Allagash Tap Takeover at The Garden, June 21st
Thursday, June 21, 2018

About Allagash: From Portland, Maine since 1995. Allagash is an independently owned brewery that makes Belgium-inspired beers. Best known for their flagship beer, Allagash White, they also enjoy aging beer in oak barrels and spontaneously fermented beers.

Early Beginnings: Founder Rob Tod had recognized a void within the craft brewing movement; the ever-creative Belgian styles were very difficult to find. He assembled a small 15-barrel brewhouse from used equipment and began his quest towards the production of traditional Belgian-style ales.

Rob sold his first batch of beer – the very first Allagash White – in the summer of 1995.  Since that time, Allagash Brewing Company has grown but they’re still brewing beers on the brewhouse Rob welded together and still aging and bottling specialty beers in the warehouse where the first batches of White were brewed.

What is a Tap Takeover? It’s an opportunity to share with you hard-to-find and small-batch beers from your favorite brewer. We usually have 8-10 taps dedicated to the brewery that night, and most often someone from the brewery comes to hang out. They might even bring some swag to share with you early birds.
