Three Ways to Prepare for Your First Visit

We’re so excited to share the Public Market with all our fans and soon-to-be fans, and are so grateful for your patience as we add finishing touches to make the Market extra-special for everyone.

While you await opening day, here are a few things you can do to ensure you’re ready when you make your first visit to the Market.

1. Plan Your Shopping List
Maybe you’re creating a menu for Easter or Passover meals. Perhaps you want to invite friends over to enjoy a “Santa Barbara Public Market” dinner, featuring products purchased at the Market. Visit our Purveyors page to ensure you’ve got something from each merchant on your shopping list.

2. Tackle it in Pairs
That could mean two of you visiting or it could mean you plan your visit by thinking of pairings. So, perhaps one day, you pair delicious soup from Flagstone Pantry with a loaf from Crazy Good Bread. Maybe next visit, you’ll pick up a specialty oil from il Fustino that you’ll bring home along with your Pasta Shoppe fresh pasta. And, of course, Green Star Coffee will go marvelously with a treat from Enjoy Cupcakes. We could go on!

3. Plot Your Dining Destination
While you can purchase prepared foods and eat in the comfy Market, you can also take your food to go. Alice Keck Gardens is a great picnic spot for crab dip from Santa Monica Seafood. You’ll also enjoy your Empty Bowl Gourmet Noodle Bar noodles at the Sunken Gardens. If the ocean is calling, take your Belcampo burger and hop on a Waterfront Shuttle.

We’re sure you’ve got a million plans for how you’ll enjoy the Public Market.  Join us on Facebook and let us know. Or follow us on Twitter to stay on top of the latest news for the Santa Barbara Public Market!
